Safeguarding & Wellbeing: 2026 Specialist Training Series

A collaboration between Samantha Garner and Ella Savell-Boss

I am delighted to announce a series of three bespoke CPD workshops designed for education professionals, from EYFS practitioners to Senior Leaders in collaboration with Ella Savell-Boss.

In an increasingly complex world, safeguarding is no longer just about physical safety—it is about emotional resilience, digital due diligence, and recognising the hidden hurts that traditional training often misses. Join us for these essential, evidence-based sessions.

1. The Hidden Hurt: Recognising and Responding to Affluent Neglect

Date: Tuesday 3rd March 2026

In environments of high academic pressure and material wealth, the signs of neglect are often masked by excellence. This workshop helps staff move beyond stereotypes to identify students vulnerable to exploitation, self-harm, and “supervisory neglect.”

Key Learning Pillars:

    • Defining the ‘Hidden Hurt’ (Physical vs. Emotional neglect in wealthy households).
    • Recognising non-traditional indicators (High-functioning anxiety and detachment).
    • The neurobiology of chronic stress in the high-achieving brain.
    • Statutory responses and sensitive intervention strategies.
