Help for Parents/Carers

Help your child/ward to manage their anxiety and/or exam anxiety with my new Individual Programmes.

Whilst I predominantly provide CBT resources for schools and colleges, I know that helping children and young adults manage anxiety can be very stressful as a parent/carer. So my Anxiety and Exam Anxiety CBT interventions are available to buy individually to help you equip your child/ward with the tools and strategies to manage their anxieties; so that it stops having a negative impact on their life.

CBT – Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – is recommended by DfE and NICE for use with children and young adults to help them manage their own mental health. CBT is also perfect for self-help. Now, you can help them to develop valuable lifelong tools and techniques for managing their own mental health using my programmes.

Managing Anxiety

£10.00

Exam Anxiety

£10.00

What do I get:

  • a workbook for your child/ward to work though
  • parent/carer support information on CBT, anxiety and the purpose of the activities
  • license to use the programme as ‘single use’; for your own children/wards as many times as you want with no ongoing costs (other than printing!)

Your child/ward can work through the activities at their own pace, with or without your involvement. The workbook begins with working on motivation to manage anxiety – looking at how it is having a negative impact on their life – and helps them to develop effective strategies to reduce the anxiety and the negative impact. They’ll acquire a good understanding of how anxiety works, and an effective toolbox to reduce it.

Take a look at my free CBT resources for you and for your child/ward to get a better idea of what the workbook will look like and how CBT works. It will also give you an indication of whether it is age appropriate for your child/ward. CBT can be effective with children as young as 6 years of age. However, these programmes are designed to be suitable for secondary aged children, or higher ability upper primary children.
